The Main Ingredient Ale House & Cafe Restaurant Review:
Care for some comfort food? It’s all here, in this former cottage cozied up with TVs at the bar and a pretty garden patio. It’s not fancy fare, but there’s plenty to like about well-crafted overstuffed griddled cheese sandwiches, spicy pork-green chile stew, or a BLT of Tender Belly premium bacon, local tomato, avocado, red onion, field greens and house-made chipotle mayo on sourdough. The most popular dish is macaroni and cheese, and no wonder --- it’s studded with bits of onion and green chile, covered in tons of cheese then baked. As befits the hip neighborhood, craft beers on tap include local works like Scottsdale’s own Sonoran White Chocolate Ale. Don’t miss the cheesecake either --- it comes from Scott’s Generations deli nearby.
