The Monarch Room Restaurant Review:

This expansive 1930s former warehouse space pays homage to Art Deco elegance in design and concept and couples it with trendy industrial elements. Rich black leather chairs and banquettes, polished red wood, parquet floors, a dramatic dome ceiling, and decorations from that era create the backdrop for an evening of dining on well-executed American brasserie fare. A raw bar, presented as if on a stage, includes an array of sushi grade fish and crustaceans. An artfully arrayed fluke or scallop crudo and indulgences like The Monarch, consisting of a whole lobster, six poached shrimp, twelve oysters, six clams and ceviche, are among the choices. Hot appetizers include a tender grilled octopus with fennel and celery salad, sambal and blood orange, and hand-cut tagliatelle, wild leeks, white asparagus and morels along with other precisely rendered selections. Entrées feature creative preparations such as a rabbit roulade with lentils, turnips, mustard and bacon, and a spicy pork shoulder with smoked paprika, onions and grits. There are about ten wines available by the glass and a slew of house and classic cocktails.
