Palm Court Jazz Cafe Restaurant Review:

If you are looking for a dining spot where jazz is on the menu, this could be your place. Surprisingly few jazz clubs in New Orleans also serve full dinners, and that may be why Palm Court packs them in. The music is authentic local jazz with name musicians and some up-and-comers. With its old-time drugstore tile floor, dark wood chairs and bar, and mood lighting, this place feels clubby and inviting. Palm Court offers adequate, if not great, Creole cooking. Oysters bordelaise is paired with a green peppercorn sauce, while the crawfish Nantua is theatrically flambéed tableside in a brandy cream sauce. Respectable chicken Clemenceau is notable simply because it is one of the signature offerings at Galatoire's on Bourbon Street. Treat yourself to a banana split for dessert. The wine selection is decent, but not often updated.
