Payne's Bar-B-Que Restaurant Review:

Located in a nondescript storefront, Payne’s offers just what you would expect from a homegrown, mom-and-pop shop. The dining room, which once served as an auto shop, is no-frills with classic red-and-white-checked vinyl tablecloths, tiled floors and mismatched chairs. It’s counter-service only, and the menu is straightforward: chopped pork sandwich, slab of ribs, rib sandwich, smoked sausage. A barbecue bologna sandwich gets attention, and the barbecue beans do not disappoint. There’s no alcohol served at Payne’s. Desserts, such as homemade butter cookies, are offered on occasion but not consistently. Note: Payne's does not take credit cards.
