The Colonel is getting a run for his money from this fast food spot with a Latin American vibe. Inside, shimmy-worthy Latin tunes are cranked, and a salsa bar with roasted chipotle and molcajete verde salsas, limes, cilantro, chopped onions and zingy jalapeños serves as ground zero for topping spicy fried birds, which regulars lovingly tear from the bone and wrap in warm corn tortillas. If you're in the mood for something a bit lighter, try the citrus-infused grilled chicken bowl, served with pico de gallo and rice and beans. Kids will love the fried leg served with French fries. Sides are out of the ordinary, too; be sure to try the sweet, caramelized plantains, cilantro- and bacon-flecked pinto beans, and lime-laced Campero coleslaw. Leave room for the famous tres leches cake for dessert.
