Restaurante Morazan Restaurant Review:

If you stick with owner Julia Avila’s Salvadoran antojitos (small bites), you may never reach the main courses. Try the pupusas served with spicy pickled cabbage and, upon request, loroco (El Salvador's subtly flavored herb-like flower). For a change of pace, ask for the pupusa de harina de arroz, made with rice flour. Other items we enjoy include the pork or chicken tamales, tortas layered with ham and egg, as well as the beef stew. Want a hearty, inexpensive meal? The pollo encebollado bears an impressive quantity of moist chicken with onions and peppers, and costs well under $10. Fried yucca root topped with chicharrons (fried pork skin) is an indulgent dish.
