THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Saltbox Restaurant Review:

Chef Simon Dolinky gets creative at this gastro-lounge, which features comfort food and bar fare. Small plates entice: oxtail jam spread over malted bread, or lobster corn dogs with ginger rémoulade dipping sauce. We also like the street food, such as the short rib grilled cheese made with manchego for a savory bite, along with beef cheek tacos --- crisp corn tortillas stuffed with meat marinated in soy and ginger and a welcomed punch of kimchi. The Brandt beef burger is a ten-ounce big boy that sports avocado, jack cheese and habanero salsa for a little south-of-the-border heat. Steaks, flatbreads, mussels and chicken dishes round out the menu. Brunch is another reason to visit, especially for the blueberry, lemon and ricotta pancakes drizzled with a cassis syrup, or house-smoked corned beef hash with mustard crème fraîche. Respected New York City mixologist Erin Williams left the Big Apple to stir up the cocktail program, and offers a playful, edgy menu that includes the Mental War, made with High West "bourye" (a mix of bourbon and rye), sweetened with a pomegranate molasses and sugar, then given a citrus lift from the lime. The peanut butter “bomb” and chocolate churros are both a fun finish.
