Scollay Square Restaurant Review:

Paying homage to the section of Boston formerly known as Scollay Square (the intersection of Tremont and Court Streets), this neighborhood restaurant caters to politicos who flock here daily for reasonably priced bistro-style cuisine. The varied menu features dishes from around the country, like New Orleans barbecue shrimp, Philly cheesesteak spring rolls and Maine lobster. The “hand hacked” guacamole is served with a basket of warm tortilla chips and the buffalo chicken dip is kicked up nicely, albeit untraditionally, with Frank’s Hot Sauce. There is a good selection of salads, including chipotle barbecue chicken, roasted beet and goat cheese and grilled pear. Entrées include miso-glazed salmon filet with sautéed spinach, a half-pound cheeseburger, steak tips with potato lasagna and the restaurant’s well-known version of mac 'n' cheese, with add-ins of lobster meat, prosciutto and truffle oil, buffalo chicken or spinach and artichoke hearts. For dessert, don’t miss the decadently rich red velvet cake for two topped with chocolate ganache.
