Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse Restaurant Review:

Sonny Bryan's has been famous for its barbecue since 1958. This original location was gussied up a bit---real tables and benches replaced tree stumps in the parking lot---but the heavenly perfume of burning wood and the shabby interior make this a barbecue shack of the first order. Order at the counter and have a seat at one of the old school desks used for tables and chow down on the excellent brisket, sausages, turkey and pork. Do not under any circumstances dilly-dally at the counter; if you are not prepared to place your complete order when it's your turn, give way to the next person or the glares from fellow diners will encourage you to leave the state.
