Steve's Deli Restaurant Review:

If you're seeking some hearty sustenance, Steve's Deli is your best bet for matzoh ball soup, jumbo franks and beans, a hot corned beef sandwich or a deli salad that could feed an army. We suggest the low-fat tuna salad plate heaped with a tangy, healthy slaw, big chunks of fresh fruit and lots of vegetables for garnish. Or go all-out deli and get the whitefish salad or kippered salmon with cream cheese and crispy rye, a bagel, pita, matzoh or bagel thins. Among the classic deli sides are noodle kugel, kishka and gravy, stuffed cabbage, meat or potato knishes, cheese blintzes and fried kreplach. Breakfast is a treat any time of day, especially when it means omelets and potato latkes. Always save room for dessert. House-made brownies (get them topped with vanilla ice cream and Detroit’s Sanders Hot Fudge) are topnotch, as are the apple strudel, rice pudding, carrot cake and sour cream coffee cake. Steve’s is now serving wine and beer in the dining room. Carry-out and catering are available.
