Tigris Middle Eastern Grill Restaurant Review:
Owned and cooked for by an Iraqi couple, this Oakton eatery is a no-frills setup, with just a few tables and counter service only. Yet it attracts folks who want both cheap eats and flavorful food. The traditional Iraqi soup with lentils gently cooked in chicken broth suggests that patrons can enjoy the owners’ national fare. Hummus, tzatziki and falafel lead the way towards kebab and shwarma entrées---the beef shwarma is worth a repeat visit. Note that the menu advertises that on Sundays the cook serves several traditional Iraqi dishes such as lamb kuzi and lamb teshreeb.
