Uva Bar & Cafe is a casual spot right on the strip in Downtown Disney. Located downstairs from its fine dining cousin, Patina Group’s Mediterranean-inspired Catal Restaurant, the redesigned venue fuses a tapas and small-plates concept with that magical, happy-go-lucky Disney atmosphere. The bar affords one of the best outdoor dining spots in Anaheim. Its circular shape and bright seating area accented by colorful communal tables is smack in the center of the promenade, separated from the push of the crowds by a barrier of groomed topiaries. The cuisine is equally well thought out in execution and presentation. Bites may include seared corn arepas stuffed with pulled pork or ahi tuna tostada with spicy sesame aïoli and jalapeño slaw. Heartier appetites may check out the brief set of entrées, including the steak frites with chimichurri or the salmon club sandwich with smoked bacon and arugula. Those looking to create their own Disney magic through libations should note that the bar serves up local craft beer along with cocktails marked by fresh ingredients and house-made syrups.
