This small deli in the shadow of American University serves excellent sandwiches. The turkey is freshly roasted (always the telling sign of a good deli) and the corned beef is good. Since opening its doors in 1925, Wagshal’s has kept up with the shifting tastes and lifestyles of its upscale suburban neighborhood and now offers full-menu catering throughout the week, complete with gourmet breads, desserts and salads.
