THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED WildCraft Sourdough Pizza Restaurant Review:

In recent years, Culver City has become more of a fine dining destination, but people coming to downtown still enjoy pizza and beer. WildCraft, the latest restaurant from chef/owner Tin Vuong (Abigaile in Hermosa Beach), does a good job with both in a spot walking distance from movie and legitimate theaters. The narrow, casual space with tall mirrors, pop-art painted walls, hanging lamps and industrial ceiling can get loud and crowded on weekends, but there's ample space on the patio. The open kitchen, which runs along one side of the restaurant, has a 900-degree wood-fired brick oven producing tasty pies with a tangy, chewy sourdough crust finished with Grana Padano, extra virgin olive oil and sea salt. Instead of the traditional red pepper flakes, patrons can add a splash of house-made chili oil with a hint of cinnamon to amp up the heat. Nontraditional pies dominate the menu, including one featuring chorizo, spinach and scamorza cheese and a white pie topped with chopped sea clams and pork belly. The menu also features some small plates, panini and side dishes; we enjoyed the chopped salad. Wash it all down with local beer brewed at Abigaile or another of the 17 craft offerings on tap. There are a few bottles of beer available, and a short California wine list. If you still have room, end with gelato or sorbet.
