Wilko Restaurant Review:

Located just outside the University of Arizona’s Main Gate, this hip gastropub has an eclectic menu, standout cocktails, and a clever assortment of craft beers and small-producer wines. Start with either of the pantry boards. One has a mix of quality cheeses; the other adds various salumi. Follow it with one of the house pizzas. The Murcia combines cherry tomatoes, goat cheese and pine nuts; the Hornbasher is a bit more substantial with toppings of white sauce, smoked bacon, crispy onions and a pop of arugula. The burger is a winner, and if you order the grilled cheese make sure you ask for all three cheeses (white cheddar, Gruyère and provolone). At dinner, you can enjoy sea fare with a potato-flake-crusted tilapia or a turf offering of tender bavette steak frites; the frites have a light, barely-there batter and the aroma of rosemary. Breakfasts are simple and weekend brunch combines the best of the morning meal and later-in-the-day items. Desserts are creative and made by some of Tucson’s finest pastry chefs.
