THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Mezzaluna Restaurant Review

: Sleek and sexy, Mezzaluna shines even though it's tucked away in a not-so-glamorous shopping strip. Start your contemporary Italian adventure downstairs so you won't miss any of the head-turning bar-and-nosh action. Nibble on fragrant, wood-fired pizzas or luscious steamed mussels aromatic with white wine, lemon and garlic. For the main event, we can't pass up the house-made lasagna stacked with smoked chicken, ricotta and roasted red pepper sauce, and also enjoy such other menu staples as fusilli della nonna (pasta with tender chicken in a luscious, rosemary-tinged Gorgonzola sauce) and bistecca di manzo (filet steak with roasted potatoes). Expect some seasonal variation in the menu. Vino lovers will treasure the food friendly Cal-Italian wine list, which offers many good choices by the glass.
