Mezzogiorno Restaurant Review: This airy SoHo trattoria serves up such standards as carpaccio and brick-oven pizzas for both lunch and dinner, which in addition to the regular seating may be enjoyed at the large marble-topped bar or, weather permitting, at one of the sidewalk tables. The appetizer menu features sautéed calamari and mixed vegetable croquettes with goat cheese, while pasta selections include black linguine with spicy tomato sauce and spaghetti in a light veal ragoût. Meaty options include osso buco, a 16-ounce Florentine steak and Mediterranean whitefish cooked in the pizza oven. |
