Mi Ranchito Restaurant Review: The families behind Mi Ranchito come from the Mexican state of Jalisco, and they’ve been running restaurants in the U.S. for years. The extensive, colorful menu encourages diners to go beyond the expected combination platters to explore goodies like Camaron Yucatan, reminiscent of fajitas thanks to the peppers and other vegetables grilled alongside the shrimp or one of the half-dozen variations on rib-eye steak. Honors go to the mushroom quesadillas, a nice surprise for vegetarians and carnivores alike. The Mexican beer selections are satisfyingly wide; order them instead of the bland wines, iffy margaritas or American soft drinks. And be sure to save room for a sopapilla (or six) for dessert.
