THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Mi Spia Restaurant Review:
This Italian restaurant in the same shopping center as McKendricks has a wide-ranging menu of contemporary dishes. One popular appetizer is the grilled shrimp with apple-smoked bacon served on a polenta cake. The lump crab cake appetizer is large and tasty. Salads are innovative: field greens with sliced pear and Gorgonzola or endive with apples and walnuts. Naturally theres a wide selection of interesting pastas. One favorite is the spinach tagliatelle with asparagus, wild mushroom and goat cheese. Main courses are a mix of fish and shellfish, veal, chicken and beef, all done with Italian accents. Salmon with a honey balsamic vinegar glaze is a specialty. For dessert, the tiramisu wins. The wine list is heavy on Italy, but the rest of the world is well-represented, with 25 wines available by the glass.
