THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Michael's Restaurant Review:
Under a dazzling stained glass dome, the flower-filled Michael's is a 50-seat jewel just a few steps away, but a world apart, from the casino. High-backed burgundy upholstered chairs offer privacy around the tables set with burgundy cloths topped with lace and a rose in a silver vase. Choose your wine from a burgundy leather-bound book filled with pages of wine labels. Australian lobster, shrimp and Maryland lump crab cocktails are dramatically served in a lit star-shaped ice tower. A Champagne-splashed sorbet prepares the palate for house specialties that include chicken Sicilian or Vesuvio, veal piccata or Française, sautéed veal chop Florentine, a charbroiled Kansas City rib chop and tournedos of beef Marengo. The sublime farm-raised Dover sole from Amsterdam is prepared meunière, the sautéed sea bass is served with buttered leeks and dill. Go for the fresh Maine lobster or a charcoal-broiled steak from the array of choices. Complimentary petit fours and chocolate-dipped dried fruits follow desserts such as cherries jubilee, bananas Foster and irresistible temptations displayed on the pastry cart.
