Here you'll find a dedicated group of friendly individuals aiming to please as elegantly as Michelia's namesake flower. Let’s call it an upscale bistro headed by the talented Kimmy Tang. She honed her skills at various establishments throughout the San Gabriel Valley via Bakersfield. Now in her very own West L.A. digs, she ups the ante and we hope the gamble will pay off (given the difficult and fickle nature of the restaurant business). Michelia is serious about food and Tang wants you to experience her own rendition of spring rolls composed of crab meat, shrimp, chicken, shallots and tree ear mushrooms, her scallops Grand Marnier, and her fettuccine of stir-fried prawns with lime leaf, ginger, chili, capers and arugula. There is much more which we will let you discover. Sweets are usually composed using mango and lychee flavors. Not every combination is a winner but we think overall it's a safe bet.
