Mikado Thai Pepper Restaurant Review: You're in the mood for sushi; your pal wants pad thai. Mikado Thai Pepper can oblige. What used to be two restaurants side by side is now one, a move that allows raw fish and green curry lovers to break bread at the same table. Although you won't find anything too innovative here, the food is reliably good. On the sushi side of the menu, try the oversize sampler platter for two that comprises many different types of sushi and sashimi. Small plates are all over the map, from Peking duck to whitefish carpaccio and Thai spring rolls, imparting a slight sense of vertigo to the experience. You're sure to find something for everyone, including a tasty yakitori, fragrant tom yam koong, and spicy basil fried rice that's easy to share.
