THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS Turn back the hands of time to the great riverboat era and dine aboard the Mike Fink, an authentic paddle wheeler. Moored next to the suspension bridge on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River, it’s a wonderful vantage point from which to see the Cincinnati skyline. When the Reds are playing ball, you can catch sight of the fireworks at Cinergy Field. Cross a gangplank to enter and sit in a dining room with windows that open to the river and the city beyond. The raw bar has Alaskan king crab legs, gulf shrimp, top neck clams, Florida stone crab claws, Blue Point oysters and jumbo prawns. Paying homage to one of the great rivers, the Mississippi bean soup is delicious. If you like trout, this is the place to order it; here, the stuffed rainbow trout is served de-boned, skin-on and broiled crispy with a stuffing of seasoned crab meat. Voodoo Chicken Jambalaya, in turn, is a pleasant reminder of New Orleans with blackened chicken presented atop jambalaya. Time it just right and you could be diving into the Key lime cheesecake for dessert while the sun sets over the river.
