This quaint family-oriented Korean restaurant has no non-smoking section and does not offer dessert. The cuisine is authentic, however, with mom (Mrs. Kim) in the kitchen and son James greeting, seating and serving loyal aficionados until 3 a.m. Furnished with bamboo blinds, wooden benches with decorative seat mats and a tiny sculpture-cum-waterfall, the eatery features an extensive selection of exotic entrées accompanied by an array of small side dishes. Among the dozen soup choices are Korean sausage, cold noodle kimchi and spicy beef and leek. We like the enormous seafood pancake, enough for three or four. Kalbi---marinated barbecue short ribs---is a favorite, as is the dolsot bibimbap, a sizzling rice bowl topped with grilled beef and vegetables. Beef, pork, chicken, goat meat and seafood casseroles are prepared with vegetables. Refresh your palate with a lemon, apple, mango, grape, pineapple or peach soju cocktail. Also available from the bar are beer and wine, plus a few liquors such as Jack Daniels.
