Mira Sushi & Izakaya Restaurant Review:

An izakaya is a Japanese tavern, something akin to the English or American gastropub. Executive chef Brian J. Tsao and head sushi chef Owen Wu have taken the concept to a whole new level at Mira Sushi & Izakaya, fusing unlikely flavors and blending American and Japanese comfort food. Take, for example, the dripping-with-juice bulgogi beef enveloped in a fried wonton “taco,” or the spicy tuna sushi pizza made with roti. The sushi is equally as intriguing: the Rock n’ Roll melds crab and kimchi while the Ninja spring roll wraps shrimp, crab and vegetables in Vietnamese rice paper. Save room for dessert, especially the coffee ice cream, or order a signature cocktail or perhaps a glass of saké from the extensive offerings.
