| This ever-popular Central Square bar-and-grill keeps it real with a menu resembling a periodic table, drinks served in beakers, and condiments kept in test tubes. Granted, there's nothing really experimental about the food, though it goes beyond standard bar fare. Aside from the ballyhooed char-grilled burger, there are lighter items like shrimp skewers with fruit salsa, grilled eggplant sandwiches and black bean salad. Beers outnumber wines, though quality counts in both cases. The place gets crowded in the evenings, but at lunchtime seating is a breeze. |
