THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Mirchi Indian Cuisine Restaurant Review

: As always, it’s a pleasure to find decent Indian food in an area once devoid of great curries and flavorful grilled meats. That being the case, any Indiaphile will enjoy what Mirchi has to offer, and thanks to the owner, not everything is a clichéd dish. For example, you’ll find several other pakora appetizers---shrimp, paneer and chicken, for example---besides the more usual vegetable offerings. And the kitchen even whips up deep-fried peppers as a starter, one way to kick off the meal with a flaming start. Clearly the influences here are more Central and Southern Indian---the kitchen even prepares some Indo-Chinese fusion dishes---than Northern, and patrons are the winners. Why not a zesty goat masala paired with a spicy royyala vepudu (shrimp simmered in a semi-dry sauce with curry leaves) and green chilies cooked in a peanut and tamarind gravy? To really set your hair afire, try the Indo-Chinese chili chicken coupled with the unusual egg hakka noodles, definitely of Chinese origins.
