THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Miss Williamsburg Restaurant Review

: THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED An aura of Italian hospitality and spirited fun are part of what set this wonderfully refurbished diner (with garden) apart from other inexpensive trattorias around the city. One of the owners, Pilar Rigon, came from the always-packed Il Bagatto in the East Village (she is no longer affiliated with the restaurant) and her new venture buzzes with the same buoyant energy and shameless charisma as her first. The other owner, Massimiliano Bartoli, who cooks in what was once the land of short order, is the one responsible for the delectable homemade pastas and ever-changing lasagnas, which are always simple and satisfying. He also serves brightly flavored salads to start and hearty entrées like an herb-crusted pork chop, roast chicken or special fish preparations. It's hard to have a conversation at Miss Williamsburg---Rigon and Bartoli like their music loud---but the young, bohemian clientele just bops in time to the music, takes another bite of spaghetti and doesn't mind a bit.
