| Hip, friendly and easy on the pocketbook, The Mission in North Park has everything one could ask for in breakfast and lunch fare. Plates are ample and satisfying. We never fail to order the chicken-apple sausage served with over-easy eggs, crispy rosemary potatoes and grilled rosemary bread. Other breakfast options are blueberry-cornmeal pancakes, the breakfast burrito with chipotle crema and roast beef hash and eggs (feel the horseradish sinus burn!). For lunch, go for ginger-sesame tofu with brown rice or grilled steak quesadilla. The Mission’s comfortable yet efficient service is to be noted. This is a real melting pot of hipster 20-somethings, young families, the older set, vegetarians and carnivores. |
