THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Mole Restaurant Review:

Set on a busy corner on the Lower East Side, this Mexican eatery may only have a few dishes that boast the restaurant's spicy-chocolate namesake on its long menu, but it hardly matters when nearly everything is a hit. For starters, we suggest the light Oaxacan tamale with spicy pork, wrapped in a banana leaf, or the crepas con huitlacoche (crêpes with black corn and mushrooms, smothered in a creamy poblano sauce). The signature mole enchiladas are some of the best in the city: tender chicken rolled up in handmade tortillas and slathered in a rich chocolate sauce. The food here won’t immediately transport you to Oaxaca, but it will take you out of New York City---at least for a few moments.
