 This branch of Mon Ami Gabi is casual yet elegant and has a certain panache that is eminently enjoyable---especially if you’re looking to take a break from shopping at the mall. Then again, we are a sucker for a bistro that sports all the necessary bells (tasty soups, steak frites) and whistles (cassoulet, quality seafood). We especially like the lemony chicken paillard and homey bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin with kicky cider sauce. The food quality is high, the prices are reasonable enough, and the comfort level is up there. Service is right where it should be, efficient but not in your face. The all-French wine list covers a lot of ground, and the chariot du vin (wine cart) offers a fine selection of wines by the glass. |
