 Though you might write it off given its mall locale, Mon Ami Gabi is a top contender when it comes to bistro dining. There’s a romantic air about the place, from its tiled floors and vintage-inspired bar to its pleasing menu of caloric salad Lyonnaise, steak frites, garlicky escargots and mussels bathed in white wine. But we especially like the home-style roasted chicken and date-glazed, bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin with port wine-cherry sauce. Beef bourguignon is quite good, too. As for potatoes, don't miss the pommes Dauphinoises. Among the desserts, the rich cherry clafouti is luxe, as are the profiteroles.
