About the restaurant: Like its sister restaurants, this Mon Ami Gabi stresses fun and food, and plenty of hot bread and crispy fries besides. It’s an ideal stopping-off place for those craving big portions as well---how can you best the big crock of French onion soup, always a favorite, topped with a melted-cheese crust?

Food & Drinks: While not officially a steakhouse, this restaurant does earn part of its reputation for its luscious steak frites in several variations---and for blue cheese fans, the Steak Roquefort is tops. For non-steak eaters, however, the kitchen complies by offering four other options, including roast chicken and a braised pork shank. Desserts are just as capacious, and include an over-the-top bananas Foster, dripping with melting ice cream and a caramel-rich sauce. Lighter meals might include one or two starters, such as the baked cheese with fingerling potatoes or the warm duck confit.
