THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Montana Avenue Restaurant Review: The menu at this eastside eatery reads like an ode to America’s rich culinary diversity: from the chicken tortilla soup to fish ‘n’ chips to Asian chicken salad. There’s always pasta on the menu, usually a quirky take on ravioli or perhaps gnocchi. The roasted chicken is a favorite, as are the twin Kobe burgers served on brioche buns with house-made pickles on the side. Extras include mac ‘n’ cheese laced with andouille and mascarpone creamed corn. This is one of those places where you should really leave room for dessert. The only question is, which one to choose? We suggest the cinnamon-sugared donut with vanilla custard and marmalade, which conjures up sweet memories of childhood notched up for grown-ups. Being a Fox Restaurant Concept establishment means the wine list is short, smart and well-balanced with wines from smaller producers.
