Morada Bay Restaurant Review: In this casual venue, Caribbean-colored chairs and tables are set right on the sand, with some sheltered and others open to the elements. Any time of day, it’s possible to soak up a water view. Head here midday for salads, a selection of tapas (like Thai seasoned mahi fingers, crispy calamari with chipotle aïoli, or coconut shrimp) or selections from the raw bar, from straight-up raw oysters to a variety of crudo and ceviches. Dinner main courses range from whole fried snapper with coconut rice and tropical chili sauce, to a daily fresh fish sautéed in Meyer lemon butter, and meaty opportunities like prime rib or filet mignon. Though the setting resembles a stage set for romantic tropical dining, it’s thick with locals every month for the Full Moon Beach party with multiple bonfires, a reggae band, and performers like acrobats and fireblowers. |
