Morgan's Fish House Restaurant Review: Morgan's Fish House underwent a renovation in 2011, but the emphasis is still on the fish and seafood focused menu. Start with tender pan-roasted octopus or the heartier seafood potpie, full of shrimp, lobster, mussels and scallops. Then opt for one of the catches of the day, such as the flaky and moist filet of halibut. Morgan's also offers more complex and creative preparations such as the blackened Montauk swordfish with sweet potato crab meat hash and "voodoo" sauce. Crustacean fans may want to try the sautéed lobster and shrimp over fettuccine with zucchini, cherry tomatoes and garlic white wine sauce. Too much fish? Go for the Cabernet sauce-topped filet mignon accompanied by lobster mashed potatoes. The wine list boasts plenty of fine dry whites to complement the cuisine. Desserts feature tried and true American classics, like a root beer float and a warm brownie sundae. |
