Motorino’s expansion to the East Village hasn't slowed down its pizza prowess. The individual pizzas---though arriving already sliced (something you’d never encounter in Italy)---are authentic-looking enough, all the way down to the smears of mozzarella. They can’t compete with the real thing---there’s just something superior about fresh, real-Italian ingredients---but the simple margherita or the Pugliese, a refreshingly non-dry pizza bianca topped with burrata, broccolini, spicy sausage and chilies, will most certainly suffice until you can get yourself the real deal. There’s also a selection of burrata-topped crostini and cured meats. The pressed-tin ceiling contributes to a nice atmosphere (save for the authentically overly-lit front room).
