Boulder is a town overflowing with great beer, and Mountain Sun is one of its best suppliers. This tiny little brewpub---complete with charming tie-dye and Grateful Dead motifs---churns out an incredible range of top-quality beers for a place its size. Hopheads will find much to satisfy their addictions. Colorado Kind ale is one of the state’s hoppiest beers with verdant notes of hops from start to finish. The XXX Ale is a similarly hoppy wonder with a more pronounced bitterness. There’s also Java Porter---the ultimate coffee brau?---and many more in-house and guest beers. Awesome. The low-cost menu features mouth-watering treats for vegans and meat eaters alike. Polite servers lay down plates of mountainous nachos and sandwiches (love that Monterey chicken model!) and veggie and beefy burgers and such. One of the best brewpubs along the Front Range.
