Moxie Restaurant Review: This eclectic, sophisticated east side restaurant offers contemporary American cuisine amongst pristine, white-clothed tables. The menu underscores executive chef Jonathan Bennett’s focus on quality, local ingredients and artsy plating. Traditional proteins undergo an imaginative transformation, as in the duck breast served over a sweet pea purée with wood-roasted cipollinis and baby carrots. We also recommend the Moxie burger topped with tomato, onion, aïoli and Adams Reserve cheddar. Moxie’s dessert menu features a satisfying collection of sweets, including a rhubarb crostata as well as a piña colada tart. Both are fun and luxe --- much like the restaurant itself.
