Moxie Restaurant Review: This eclectic, sophisticated east side restaurant offers contemporary American cuisine amongst pristine, white-clothed tables. The menu underscores executive chef Jonathan Bennett’s focus on quality, local ingredients and artsy plating. Traditional American proteins like beef and seafood undergo an imaginative transformation, as in the spicy shrimp scampi with fresh, delicate squash and vegetable slaw. We also recommend the bourbon maple pork chop with Brussels sprouts and prosciutto. Those who crave something a little more familiar can try the Moxie burger --- it’s a house favorite for a reason. Moxie’s dessert menu features a satisfying collection of sweets including a banana caramel spring roll with soft salted caramel and sliced bananas. It's fun and luxe --- much like the restaurant itself.
