| Across from hallowed Harvard Yard, this famed burgermeister has been grilling burgers and whipping up thick frappes for decades. Freshly ground, hand-formed and cooked as ordered, the burgers---most named for stars and politicians---are among the best in town. Ditto the freshly cut sweet potato fries and onion rings, both preferable to the regular fries. Though there's no liquor license, the aforementioned frappes and refreshing lime rickeys more than compensate. The quirky, memorabilia-filled cottage's fame far exceeds the bounds of Cambridge, so expect to be sandwiched between not only students but carnivores of all stripes. |
