THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Muddy Leek Restaurant Review:

THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Several operations have come and gone in the location that is now home to Muddy Leek, but hopefully this hyper-seasonal restaurant is here to stay. A modern aesthetic in the dining room and a spacious back patio compose the comfortable setting. Operated by catering team Whitney Flood and Julie Retzlaff, the kitchen executes artful presentations of New American cuisine, while the bar crafts well-balanced artisan cocktails. For a fervent start, guests should try the "Malory Archer," a powerful blend of gin, dry vermouth and chartreuse. To accompany this cocktail, order the slightly sweet sautéed shrimp, served atop creamy polenta and black cabbage, as well as the "leek & egg" --- buttery soft-cooked leeks and fava beans topped with a sunny-side-up egg and feta cheese, all anchored by a crispy wedge of pastry. Entrées include a rich risotto of seasonal morel mushrooms and spring vegetables, in addition to a chicken breast with cauliflower purée. To conclude the meal, skip the bulk of the desserts and go straight to the donuts, warm and fluffy, served with lemon curd and blueberry compote.
