In a land of few barbecue joints, Muddy River takes you to the Bayou, invoking a down-home barbecue shack on the banks of the wide Mississippi. The result is faux-bayou décor, but you’ve gotta love it (kids sure do) because you can have fun chowing down and getting messy. Try the deep-fried pickles along with your St. Louis-style ribs and pulled pork; get the zesty baked beans for your barbecue chicken. Where once there was live music downstairs, they've opened the Downstairs Pizza Pub with cozy den-like décor and plenty of choices for that old standby.
