| White Naugahyde booths and hunting prints speak to this restaurant's old-timey past, but its future as a slice of India on Charles Street is secure. Lentil pappadum with tamarind and cilantro chutneys fuel a browse through the menu, but you can almost point at random and be assured of a good meal. Crisp pakoras, spicy roghan josh, homey palak paneer, and a pleasantly rustic lamb korma all have their charms. End with a sweet taste of gulab jamun, the fried cheese balls in honey. Arrive at lunchtime for the very big buffet; a weekend brunch buffet includes a dosa station. |
