Muqueca Restaurant Restaurant Review:

Named after a Brazilian soup, Muqueca is a small, brightly colored Inman Square spot. This family-run restaurant is led by Fátima “Fafa” Langa, who prefers to emphasize the healthier side of Brazilian cuisine. The dish moqueca is a ragoût or stew that poaches seafood in a rich broth with tomatoes, cilantro, annatto seeds, onions and sweet peppers, with optional coconut milk, palm oil or hot sauce, cooked atop a stove in a hot clay pot and served with rice and pirao. Other selections include lasagna de banana, cod Capixaba, Brazilian crab cake and seafood pie. The place is vegetarian- and gluten-free friendly, too. Sip guarana, acerola and graviola juices, or the national cocktail caipirinha, and finish your meal with the fresh acai fruit bowl topped with granola.
