Nagomi Restaurant Review: There are no show-stopping visuals or grand displays at Nagomi; simplicity is the key here. Natural wood chairs and tables softly illuminated by intimate lighting and a small sushi bar in the rear of the restaurant don't detract from the authentic Japanese fare that takes center stage. Begin with one of Nagomi's special rolls; again, there are no trendsetting twists, only classic preparations like the rainbow roll, a colorful blend of three different kinds of thinly sliced sushi grade fish topped with avocado and salmon roe. We also suggest the roasted black cod, a buttery tender filet marinated in miso for a fine combination of sweetness and soy. Finish with a sampling of green tea and red bean ice cream for a refreshingly light dessert that will still satisfy a sweet tooth. |
