| The scattered old books and ancient ceiling fans that alluded to this SoHo bar's namesake---William S. Burroughs' novel, Naked Lunch---may be gone, taking the theme with it, but this one-room bar is one of the best places to quaff a pint of beer or a cocktail in the neighborhood. Buried far below Houston, Naked Lunch is a chic oasis from SoHo's over-stimulated shopping scene for smartly clad twenty- and thirty-somethings, who pack the place till the wee hours of the morning. During the warm weather months, the bar's front walls slide open, giving the place an open air feel and perfect for watching the sidewalk activity while sipping on a beverage. |
