: Channeling all the quiet elegance of California wine country, this Stamford spot combines an international wine list with a menu composed with local, organic and free-range ingredients. The restaurant is tastefully appointed, from its wine room to its dining area, with sleek mahogany tables and crystal glasses. We suggest starting with a flight of French and Spanish rosés or a glass of Napa & Company’s own sparkling wine. Pair them with small plates such as tuna tartare drizzled with yuzu vinaigrette and served with an avocado and radish salad, and asparagus farro topped with a sunny side egg and truffle oil. Proceed to entrées of slow-roasted halibut with haricots verts, marble potatoes and pickled grapes in a Prosecco beurre blanc. Complement this dish with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc. Or go for a hearty main like local beer-braised short ribs with truffle corn purée, shiitake mushrooms, English peas and truffle crema. An Argentine Malbec will bring out the pungent meaty flavors of this dish.
