Naples Ristorante E Pizzeria Restaurant Review: Cuisine from southern Italy is featured at this Downtown Disney restaurant. Try the roast chicken, antipasto della Spaccanapoli or wood-fired pizza, and you may believe you're in Napoli, or perhaps in a small town on the Italian Riviera. The prices will bring you down to earth, though. They're roughly twice what you'd pay in a regular pizzeria. In the formal dining room, the menu choices are much more extensive. Start your meal with the mozzarella-stuffed fried pizza dough or the tomato-braised calamari served with creamy polenta. Pasta choices are numerous, but we give our vote to the sea shell pasta with shrimp and shellfish in a spicy tomato broth. If you're craving meat, Naples offers a nice braised beef short rib with red lentils and prosciutto. On weekends, this is a good place for couples --- the upstairs balcony provides a cozy, surprisingly romantic departure from boisterous Downtown Disney. That said, families with children in tow should note that several kid-friendly items are available on the menu, from health-conscious options to the chance to make their own mini-pizzas.
