THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Nardo's Trattoria Restaurant Review:

Formerly Norby's, a neighborhood bar-cum-place-of-worship for LSU football fans, this corner building made of stone maintains a gritty look outside, thanks in part to the remaining neon signs. Inside, though, Nardo's is the picture of taste: white linens, table candles, servers in starched white shirts. You may still rest comfortably at the bar for the span of a beer or six, but the bigger draw is the typical menu of Creole-Italian dishes, most of them executed with consistency if not ambition. The seafood is pristine, the red sauce is tangy, and the Caesar salad sings with anchovy. Prices are steeper than expected for a neighborhood restaurant. If you aim to pare down the charges, however, don't let it be at dessert---the chocolate cannoli might be the best dish in the house.
