Navio Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: First and foremost, Navio's panoramic views provide a striking dining backdrop, particularly at sunset; ask for a window table. The elegant interior is reflective of the sea, with subtle, nautical notes and low-rise architecture, soft fabrics in oceanic hues and modern orb chandeliers.

Food & Drinks: Meanwhile, dinner selections include appetizers such as a chilled lobster salad, preceding the likes of Morro Bay king salmon and Prime steak with sauce au poivre. The Navio Tasting Menu is also an option, with or without wine pairing. The spring berry verrine is a self-contained dessert terrarium of beauty, complexity and intense flavors, a literal forest scene of sweets, from the panna cotta base to the blueberry meringue toadstools and lemon basil shortbread lid atop the glass globe that holds it all. Another one seeks to delicately replicate the sea floor. The wine list is extensive and first-rate, and service is attentive.
