Naya Sunset Restaurant Review: The former Tantra space has been fittingly reincarnated as Naya, and perhaps truly found its hipster-neighborhood niche. A dark, gothic-Moroccan lounge offers handcrafted cocktails created by bar impresario Joel Black, plus DJs, bands and sexy fire-eating belly dancers on weekends. The revamped bar menu focusing on savory Indian street food hits the mark with masala fries and tandoor hot wings --- don’t miss the paratha kebab served with pickled vegetables and tamarind, and Lahori fish ‘n’ chips. The dining room is one of the most romantic spots in the area, with billowy white curtains, sultry lighting and intimate booths; it’s a nice date place. Find coconut prawns with curry leaves and black rice, saffron tandoori monkfish, lamb osso buco, and a good selection of vegetarian items, too. The garden patio, flickering with pretty fireplaces, is one of Silver Lake’s best-kept secrets.
